The Morgan Community College Foundation exists to gather, expand, and unlock resources to promote the growth potential of the College’s leadership, faculty, staff, and students. Generous donors have helped ensure that the highest quality education is available and accessible to students within the College’s 11,500 square mile service area. Each year the Foundation gets closer to bridging the gap between needs and resources, and will continue to strive for this achievement. The strong partnership between the College, Foundation and community continues to strengthen the future for students and create new horizons. Dr. Jarrold Schaefer, MCC Foundation President 135 students received scholarships in the 2012/2013 school year Through the MCC Foundation, Braedon Godin of Fort Morgan was awarded the Hogsett Foundation Scholarship for fall and spring semesters. He has worked for Northeast Colorado Broadcast (B106/ KSIR) for two years, and is interested in pursuing a degree in film production. With the help of this award, Braedon will complete his Associate of Arts degree with MCC. $106,565.30 in scholarships were awarded in the 2012/2013 school year Hailey Covelli of Weldona has come to MCC to pursue a degree in Nursing. She received a scholarship from Morgan County HOSPES, also awarded through the MCC Foundation, to help reach this goal. Hailey participates in MCC’s Health Occupations Society of America (HOSA) and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) student clubs. The MCC Foundation is a key partner in the College’s vision to provide affordable access to higher education. The ability of the Foundation to carry out this vision is made possible by the generosity of donors. The substantial gifts to the Foundation over the years show how supporters recognize that education not only presents new opportunities for students to pursue careers and better lives, but also strengthens communities in countless ways. Donating to the MCC Foundation is making an investment into the future.
