ENRICHING LIVES Valuing Quality MCC Student Accomplishments • Jessica Buckley, a 2011 Multimedia program graduate, is attending the School of Visual Arts in New York City. One of her photos was featured on the packaging label for Jones Soda to be used nationwide and in Canada. She was also selected for a coveted internship in Brides Magazine. The two first place students qualified for nationals. • Auto technology student Joel Jakel won third place at the Jerry Boor Automotive Contest in Denver. • Laura Malcom, a concurrent enrollment student from the Limon Center, was named a Boettcher Scholar. Trinity Moses, also from Limon, was selected to receive a prestigious Daniels Fund Scholarship. • At the Burlington Center, William Helling (Idalia) was awarded a Boettcher Scholarship, and Melissa Blandford (Burlington) and Joelle Holtman (Liberty) were selected as Daniels Fund Scholars. • Five Phi Beta Lambda (business student organization) students qualified at the State Leadership Conference in Grand Junction to participate in the National Leadership Conference in San Antonio, Texas. Their advisor, Laurie Morris, was also awarded the 2012 Outstanding Adviser Award at the state conference.
